Course Reflection
Writing has always appealed to me. Before beginning the writers craft class, I definitely did not expect it to be a struggle. I had always been good at English and writing, so what would be so different right?
Throughout the writers craft process, I had learnt so many different aspects about writing techniques, verbs and grammar - that most would consider common sense. Although some assignments were easy, and some were a struggle, I can say that I enjoyed writing every single one of them.
At the beginning of the semester we worked on memoirs which were by far my favourite part of the course. Throughout the last 2 years, I had gone through a lot. Being able to write a memoir and put my experiences and feelings into a piece of art made me feel above and beyond amazing. Although memoirs were only the first assignment of the year - it changed my love for writing and helped improve my writing skills.
When it came to writing a "Murder Mystery", I definitely struggled. Having to write something you're not completely interested in is a difficult task, but it is all part of the writers craft process. While writing my "Murder Mystery" I eventually began to take joy in the development of my story. The ideas coming from my brain were both interesting and absolutely absurd!
I find that writers craft has built a sense of adoration for writing and literature within me. Before having begun this class, I thought it would be an easy A, but I now know that it takes a tremendous amount of effort to earn an A. But, I have also learnt simple things such as you can start a sentence with the word "but"!
Overall, at this time in my life, I have never been so fond of the beauty of literature and writing. I now take the time to look for symbols, rhetorical devices and all of that jazz in the simplest forms of writing. Without having taken this Writers Craft class, I would not be as developed in writing as I am now.
I would like to thank Mr. Heneke for all of the hard work he has put into this class. He has taught me so much about writing, and has made it clear for me that the expression of words is an art like none other. He continuously encouraged us to do our best, and he has most definitely prepared us for our futures in college and university. I really appreciate your willingness to correct EVERY single mistake possible - it has made me the writer I am now.

Patchwork Poetry & Found Poetry
When Bubbly died
There sat Sam, looking cool and calm in the heart of the furnace roar;
Her bright locks were tangled
Silent as the sleeve-worn storn
His pleasent parents killed themselves with toil
Welcome
Come

Haiku Poems
Tristan Gride - Main Character
I guess you could say Texas is a very judgemental State due to specific southern ways everyone had grown up adapting to. I mean, I can't say this about all of Texas, but Berryville specificly is a very judgemental town, with certain standards that most are expected to live up to. I play football specificly because im trying to live up to the standards and expectations of Berryville. I had always been scared of the spotlight, and had always wanted to be a shadow hidden beneath the darkness, but that wasn't enough for Berryville. To be normal in Berryville High School, you had to be a jock - no questions asked. Typically, that's what I did, I became a football player that everyone admired, and I satisfied everyone, except for myself.

Epiphany 55 Words - Short Story
They all stood still watching the animal munch on its prey. Each part of its body was dissembled, leaving only a few parts of its torn up body together. The animal looked up at them with an emotionless look of despair. “Buddy, come get a treat!” The dog left its toy torn into shreds.
